Many wine making stores, or "brew on premise stores" were developed from the "beer making on premise stores"; originally opened 10 to 15 years ago. They began making wine because their customers began asking for it. The type of store that developed by combining the two very different products, was a reflection of the past, a kind of a back room brew house, that also made wine. As those customers moved on in age they began to look for a more enjoyable place to make their wine. They no longer felt comfortable in the old environment, sharing the facilities with the younger beer drinking crowd. They were looking for a place that specialized in wine, a place where they could get professional advice about wine and wine making. They were looking for a place that provided a clean, spacious, relaxed environment equipped with the very best automatic bottling, corking and labeling equipment available on the market.

They simply wanted a store that catered to their needs.

Just Cork-It was developed for these customers.The first Just Cork-It was opened in the fall of 2000 in the town of LaSalle, Ontario. Word quickly spread throughout the area of this unique store that was like no other. As business grew so did it’s reputation for high quality wine, friendly professional assistance, and a spotlessly clean, organized and warm environment. It wasn’t long before the business required more space. A second store was opened in the summer of 2004 on the other side of LaSalle. This store was a refinement of the original store. It too was an immediate success, being more convenient for customers who traveled from the other end of town as well as a whole group of new customers located in it's neighborhood.

In the spring of 2005 there was an opportunity to expand to the community of Amherstburg. Just Cork-It opened its first franchised store in May 2005. Also located in a busy plaza, they have exceeded all projections. With a well known and recognized name in the area, people felt comfortable and confident about the products and service they would receive.
